Hello all,
I was hoping to get some help with a problem. I have modified the pisoFoam solver to add a constant body Force. And the set up i made to steady the flow over a flat plate. The velocity never reaches a steady value the solution osilates every 10sec to 20sec.
set up for p
inlet
fixed value
value uniform 0;
outlet
fixed value
value uniform 0;
set up for velocity
zeroGradient
bodyForce 4.4e-3;
can some help me. I am not sure if this form is even active i will add all the details if someone can help. i have spent lot of time this so i am really need some help
thanks
sai

So in either case you must know before you do the simulation if your "real" flow is steady or transient and then procceed with the solvers you talked about. Poiseuille flow for example is treated as steady state.

By real flow do you mean the flow after some significant time step?
