Dear all,
I want to know If OpenFOAM can run different solver in different domain in the same time .

for example:
In the left domain, I want to use pisoFoam to generate turbelence, while in the right domain, I want to use buoyantBoussinesqPisoFoam.

Is it possible in Foam ? and how can I do this ?
I think this is an interesting problem.

Hi All,

This is almost the same thing i am also asking,

In a particular domain, I want to solve for heat transfer in the fluid at initial stage, as the flow passes to middle domain i have to solve for heat transfer as well as magnetic field while in the end of the domain i have to solve the combination of electric-magnetic and thermal effect.

This all is to be done in the same structure at different location for e.g., consider a pipe of 1 m. length then for first 30 cm i have to solve for heat transfer after leaving 5 mm gap again for next 30 cm and so on, as explained above.

It would be great help!!!
Thanks and Regards,

hello,
Take a look at chtMultiRegionFoam. There is fluid and solid region, but you can add other region (porous, mhd, ...) or modify fluid/solid region.
But you need to do some coding to do that.

regards,
olivier
