Volume averaged continuity and momentum eqns for E-L flow

Dear foamers

I just wonder whether OpenFOAM can solve the Euler-Lagrangian model based on the volume averaged continuity and momentum equations?

For the Lagrangian particle tracking in OpenFOAM (say bubbly flows: bubble in liquid), it solves the fluid phase in the Eulerian frame (assume the bubble doesn't occupy any space in the flow domain. Then, OpenFOAM does the Lagrangian tracking for the discrete bubble phase using the flow field from the liquid phase.

Will it be possible to include the volume average for the continuity and momentum equations of the liquid phase?

Thanks
