Hello FOAMers,

my goal is to create a solver for a complicated 3D motion of a vessel geometry. I have created different .stl files that describe the shape of the vessel during its motion.

My idea was to have the solver load different pre-calculated meshes (generated using snappyHexMesh) generated from these stl-files and map the fields from the preceding time step on the corresponding mesh for the new time step.

The main problem to me seems that paraView cannot visualize a mesh that has a non-constant number of elements - it gives "--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: size xx is not equal to the given value of yy". This is unfortunate because I want to create a video of the calculation.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
Or maybe there's a more elegant way for solving this task?

Cheers!
