Hi...

I'm doing the open channel flow simulation with interFoam solver and I got a exaggerated elevation upstream the cylinder (http://d.pr/i/Ya1d).

I dont't know why... I use these BC to the atmosphere:

alpha 1
{
type inletOutlet;
inletValue uniform 0;
value uniform 0;
}

U:
{
type pressureInletOutletVelocity;
value uniform (0 0 0);
}

p_rgh:
{
type totalPressure;
p0 uniform 0;
U U;
phi phi;
rho rho;
psi none;
gamma 1;
value uniform 0;
}
k
{
type inletOutlet;
inletValue uniform 0.001;
value uniform 1e-11;
}
nuSgs:
{
type zeroGradient;
}
nuTilda:
{
type inletOutlet;
inletValue uniform 0;
value uniform 0;
}

Help me please!

Best regards!

Pedro,

If you can upload your case, I can try to find the problem.

Thanks,

Hello... I already solve the problem... I forget to put the gravity acelleration in the g file

Now, I want to define a logarithmic profile of the velocity in the inlet. Do you know how? I don t want use swak4foam or groovy bc (i can t install it)

Thanks!

Best regards.

Hello. I have a convergence problem and if I do a treeshold with alpha1 between 0 and 1, something very strange happens. See for yourself please: http://d.pr/f/jDJj

You must type: blockMesh, setFields and interFoam.

Best regards.

RodriguezFatz will become famous soon enough
Hey Pedro, can you tell me, why you set nuSgs to "zeroGradient" instead of just "0" (zero) at the wall?
