Hello,
Has anyone managed to get dieselEngineFoam working in parallel with mesh motion(specifically piston compression-expansion)? It seems that every dieselEngineFoam in every version of OpenFOAM is plagued with the mpi crash at injection of particles. I know sprayEngineFoam has problems via this bug report: http://www.openfoam.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=577.

ris.

Is there any updates of the state of the topic?

No news, AFAIK. However, I do use the fix I suggested in the bug report on a daily basis. It works fine if you do not try 2D cases... I am using 2.2.x.

Just get rid of all calls (several) to:
meshTools::constrainToMeshCentre
meshTools::constrainDirection

in
InjectionModel.C
KinematicParcel.C

I though the old lagrangian library did work in parallel with mesh motion?

I can not tell, because I don't know. Spray in ICEs is my final goal.
I have reached a problem with attachDetach in parallel in accordionEngineMesh class (OF-ext) already . It drives me crazy now. Therefore I have asked about the parallelization of the "final chapter", in order to know, if it worth the spleepless nights I have already had.
Sorry about my english. I am really tired
