hello everyone..

i can not run simpleFoam at all..

i get this error all the time..ie with every tutorial i use..what can be the problem?

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
cannot find file

file: /home/izna/Desktop/Askervein/6/p at line 0.

From function regIOobject::readStream()
in file db/regIOobject/regIOobjectRead.C at line 73.

Have you ever checked the instructions of openfoam installation?
can you run the cavity case after installation. please explain more details.

yes i can run with every other ie icofoam, pisofoam.. only simple foam not run....

I see you are working on your own case.
what error do you get by running one case of OF tutorial for example airfoil2D case?

Hmmm!! go to the airfoil2D directory. and run the case by typing "./Allrun" in terminal.
Do you get the error?

when i run with airfoil2D is work perfetctly provided i did an allrun first..

now lets come back to another file of mine which i run

From function dictionary::lookupEntry(const word&, bool, bool) const
in file db/dictionary/dictionary.C at line 402.

also i was try to run a template online and when i did the allrun its said i have not enough permission..!!

bash: ./Allrun: Permission denied

now lets take the turbineSiting file..

its works well withthe ALlrun, the blokmesh and snappyhext mesh was fine.. when i run simplefoam..

see what happens..;
