Hi Foamers,

I am trying to solve Allen-Cahn equation in Openfoam.

I modified laplacian foam for this exercise. It requires a special random initial conditions where concentration can have value +1 or -1. I created field in openfoam for 128*128 grids. However, while solving the equation, openfoam seems to average out the phi field to zero in the very first step. I do not understand why this is happening.

Since I am trying to solve it explicitly, I tried programming it in Matlab too. Matlab works fine, but Openfoam does not. Could anyone please help me understand what is happening? I have attached the source code herewith.

P.S. This may be extremely stupid to ask, but is there a way we can debug program in openfoam?

Thanks

Hrushi
