Converting Pointwise volumes to OpenFOAM

Hello all

I have managed to sucessfully export some pointwise meshes to openFoam already by setting the solver, then changing boundary conditions and export->CAE with blocks selected. This worked fine.

What didnt work was when I tried to use 'set volume conditions' using the same method as for boundary condtions but no extra files were produced in the directory.

I am trying to simulate a case with 2 cubes side by side, one filled with cold gas, the other with a hot solid, then solving for heat transfer. I know the example is simple but if I could get the export working then I would move to more complex geometries.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated :)

edit: apologies forthis being in the wrong section

I do not believe that Pointwise's volume conditions are available for export to OpenFOAM, I use the OpenFOAM utilities like setField to perform this function.

Ah, that would make sense. Do you know how I can get information on how to use setField then?

Thanks

look at the AllRun script for the dam break tutorial.
