Dear Foamers,

Currently, I run solver MRFSimplefoam from Wiki tutorial. I set initial boundary conditions and follow the instructions in the tutorial. When I run this tutorial with angular velocity 10 rad/s, it comes to a very good result. However, in case of 15, 20 rad/s, errors occur (core dump). I'm not very clear with these circumtances, could you clarify it for me? Thank you very much for your supports. Please download file (case) from link:

Looking forward to receiving your ideas.

Thanks you very much...

Did you try lowering the relaxation factors? You can also try to use upwind schemes in your epsilon and k divSchemes and linearUpwind grad(U) in your div(phi,U)

Dear kornickel,
Thanks for your advice, I've carried out following your instructions and have good results.
Now I am doing some case studies using solver MRFSimpleFoam and SRFSimpleFoam to simulation flow over rotating flat. Parameter of flat includes length= 200 mm and width=20 mm with velocity inlet 10m/s. I used Turbulence property tools on website www.cfd-online.com for calculating initial boundary conditions of epsilon, k, omega...In case MRFSimpleFoam, I generated mesh model of flat which includes 3 zones fluid_inside (rotate), fluid_outside (stator), balde. However, both of the cases do not converge, bounding k and results of pressure and velocity very large. I dont know the reason why the errors appears.
I attached 2 cases (the following links) for MRFsimple and SRFSimple, could you have a look and help me identify where the problem is (due to initial boundary conditions, quality of mesh, fvchemes, fvsolution,...). I am confused but don't know where to find the answer for this problem.
