Hi,
I have some problems with solving simpleFoam case it blows of after 160 or more iterations, since I have quite complex geometry it is possible that there is a problem with a mesh So to find where the problem is I would like to have residual field so I can locate which cells need to be improved There are some information about simpleFoamResidual on this forum for example in this threads http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post281861 http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post308363 but all the links are broken so if somebody could give me a valid code that I could run it. Preferably if there is a code for OpenFOAM 2.x or newer Also any other solution to locate bed cells would be great and how to fix it with OpenFoam tools Regards Filip |

Hi Filip,
The new link is this one: http://sourceforge.net/p/openfoam-ex...eFoamResidual/ I happen to come across it today as well, probably will require some work to modify for 2.x. Regards, Tom |

Hi Tom,
thanks a lot I did some modifications and it seems that I managed to do version which works fine for laminar cases (this is exactly what I need) and when I verify that it really works I'll post it here Filip |
