Hello together,

I'm relatively new to OpenFOAM and I'm trying to set up a steadystate compressible sonic simulation with the following requirements:

Mach 2.5
T = 130K
Reynoldsnumber = 1800000

other parameter: rho = 0.56662 kg/m^3
p = 21140.6 Pa

My mesh is an unstructered one which passes the checkMesh except for max. skewness, but I think this doesn't matter so far...
It contains an inlet, an outlet, a wall around and a group aeroplane.

I wanted to use the rhoSimplecFoam solver...is this a good choice or can you recommend me some other solver(s)? And for turbulence modelling I wanted to use k-omega-Menter-SST. Is this a good one for this conditions?

How can I do this and set the right boundary conditions??? Can you please help me?

Best regards,

Hello again,

here are some more details how I'm trying to get the simulation working and I hope anybode could help me:

I take the motorBike tutorial (incompressible with simpleFoam solver) because there is the k-OmegaSST- Model used and the geometry consists of a wind tunnel, inlet, outlet and the motorBikeGroup as in my case. I tried to make my simulation running with adapted files in 0/ and the adapted boundary file with the simpleFoam solver and the same conditions like in this tutorial. This works quite fine.

But now i want to use the rhoSimplecSolver to simulate with in the first post mentioned conditions. How should I go on what Inlet, Outlet and so on conditions should I choose?

I hope someone can help me.
Best regards,
