Hi everyone,

I'm running a 2D simulation of a 2 blades VAWT. r.omega/Vinf is set to 5. Turbulence model is k-omega SST, with y+ around 1.

When using a courant number around 50, the simulation runs fine and the forces and flowfield for both blades are identical.

With a courant below 5, the flow field and forces for the two blades are different. This behavior remains when pre-rotating the domain 180° (hence any mesh difference is ruled out). see movie attached.

This does not happen with other turbulence model.

Any hints on the origin of the difference would be appreciated !

I can transfer a minimal test case upon request.
