Automatic mesh motion for the unstructured finite volume method
Hello,
I'm trying to use dynamicMotionSolverFvMesh, but I could not because it gives me errors. My idea is to develop a wave channel, where one of the boundaries move with simple harmonic function, stoke I, stoke II or a file that indicates the time movement. Can anyone help me with my problem?. thanks for your help. dynamicMeshDict dynamicFvMesh dynamicMotionSolverFvMesh; //motionSolverLibs ("libfvMotionSolver.so"); solver velocityLaplacian; diffusivity inverseDistance (movingWall); |
have a look there: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post447947
it might help you to understand the library |
Hi Alejandro,
I am not quite sure, what you actually want to achieve. Do you want to move a wave paddle, or do you want to prescribe the motion of the free surface through a mesh deformation? If it is the former, then the moving cone tutorials should be a nice starting point. Furthermore, I have seen wave paddles discussed on the forum before, but I do not know, how succesfull the various attemps were. Once you have tried the moving cone, you could exchange the fixedValue boundary condition for the motion with e.g. the oscillating or timeVaryingFixedValue boundary conditions. Good luck, Niels |
fredo, thanks for your help and answers.

ngj,
Yes, i want to move a wave paddle, doing a prescribe motion in a file or by a function, for example a harmonic or a stoke I or stoke II. thanks for your help |
