Speeding convergence, SRFSimplefoam

Hi All,
I'm simulating a helicopter blade using SRFSimplefoam. At the moment it converges, but it takes a very long time for the startup vortices to convect out of the domain (around 3000 iterations). Is there any way to speed this up?

The problem is I don't have a velocity defined on the inlet, the flow is driven by the rotation of the reference frame driving air over the blades. This is why I'm guessing potentialFoam crashes for me when I try to use it. I also currently use the addSwirlAndRotation tool I found somewhere to start the simulation with the appropriate Urel field, which sped things up considerably, but these vortices still take a long time to convect out.

Perhaps run the simulation on a coarse mesh, then map the results to your original case.
