3d bubbleColumn multiphaseEulerFoam
Hello cfd-online community,
I am a newbie in cfd with OpenFoam 230. Currently I am trying to simulate flow in a 3d bubbleColumn. Therefore I inspired myself from the bubbleColumn tutorial which can be found in the folder multiphaseEulerFoam. My geometry is a hexagon with the dimensions 20cm in width *4cm in depth *60cm in height. The inlet (1,8cm*0,6cm) can be found in the middle of the bottom (20cm*4cm). Outlet is on top. Boundary and initial conditions are the same as in the tutorial bubbleColumn. The files I have changed are blockMeshdict and setFieldsDict. Unfortunately ParaView shows unreasonable results: water seems to stream out of the bottom which makes no sense because it is defined as wall (except inlet of course). In order to find the mistake I defined the whole bottom (20c*4cm) patch as inlet which lead to good results. Could someone help me out? |
