Hi everyone,

I'm doing a project in college with OpenFoam5.0 about cargo ship and I need to calculate the ship's drag, but I'm can't find where put the function. I'd like to know where (what folder) I put the drag function to realize the calculates. I'm using the solver DTCHull from tutorials InterFoam

Forces can be calculated with the "forces" and the typical drag and lift coefficients with the "force coefficients" function object. See for example this documentation:

https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...es-forces.html

https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...ce-coeffs.html

These function objects should exist in any openfoam version. Just add it in your controlDict and the results will be written in the log file as well as in a seperate file if you wish.
