Velocity boundary condition in an enclosed wind tunnel

Hi guys,

I just started my master thesis about simulating an enclosed wind tunnel. The goal would be to solve the whole tunnel in OpenFOAM using a MRF, actuator disc or chimera mesh for 2 counter rotating propellers.

In a first step a simple closed loop model is generated and the simpleFoam solver is chosen. A pressure reference point is set and now I'm trying to set a homogeneous velocity boundary condition to a surface perpendicular to the flow direction. Is that possible without splitting the tunnel and set an inlet and outlet?

I would be glad for every input!

I am not sure if I am understanding correctly but if I am then I think the fan BC might be of use to you, see this thread for instance:
