how to use ScalarTransportFoam

Could someone please point me to some documentation on ScalarTransportFoam or a very simple working example? I don't know how to set up this solver, i.e. which keyword to put into which dict file to get it going.

The problem I would like to simulate is as follows:
I have the steady stead solution of a Helium gas flow in a simple geometry (a box with 1 inlet and 2 outlet), as generated with rhoCentralFoam. I then would like to add a second gas with a specified initial distribution to the geometry and track its distribution over time. For my purpose the density of the second gas is low enough to neglect any influence on the steady-state velocity field of the He gas. The second gas should only spread either by drag or diffusion into He. I believe ScalarTransportFoam would be the right solver for that?

Hello,

I believe scalartransportform is the right solver for your problem. I don't know of any documentation about scalartransportform, but if you are still interested I can send you a very simple working example - for an incompressible flow calculated with simpleFoam. Pl let me know.
