Hello everybody.
I have a question
I'm using chtMultiRegionFoam but I cant reach a steady temperature when I impose flux in the base.
What're the conditions to reach a steady temperature ??

Ps: Im using a modified case of the tutorials,i just changed the geometry and the boundary conditions of the case.

Thats how Im imposing the flux :

boundaryField
{
".*"
{
type zeroGradient;
value uniform 294.05;
}

"heater_to_.*"
{
type compressible::turbulentTemperatureCoupledBaffleMix ed;
neighbourFieldName T;
K solidThermo;
KName none;
value uniform 294.05;
}

minZ
{
type fixedGradient;
gradient uniform 7.53;
}

Maybe should I impose the flux on a different way??I know about the groovy BC but im getting trouble in installing it.The temperature in my case keeps raising and the case doesnt get in a steady state.
Can someone help me??

Hi,

With your boundary conditions you have a system that has a net positive heat flux. You need to set one boundary at a fixed temperature. For steady state the net heat flux must be zero.

Regards,
Tom
