Hi, everyone!

Now I am dealing with a flow over cavity case with rhoPimpleFoam. In my case, the mach number is quite low (0.073), and the initial density of the domain is 1.225. After about 3000 time steps, something weird happened, the minimum density in the domain became zero.

I pick Smagorinsky and perfect gas for my simulation.

How can zero density appear in a case with such a low mach number? I will appreciate it if anyone can help me.

Billions of Thanks,

Xiangyu
