Hi all,

I ran the same case with different solvers, it's similar to the 2Dmixervessel tutorial, but 3D.

To obtain the mesh, I merged stator and rotor cellZones and defined AMI patches at interface.

I ran once using pimpleDyMFoam and I had pressure and velocity field with no jump across AMI interfaces.
If I run the case using simpleFoam with fvOptions, I see a jump on both fields across the surface. Why? Is there a way to smooth this?

Here's a picture of the simpleFoam case.

Problem solved, when you use simpleFoam with fvOptions you have not to forget the not rotating patches into dictionary.

That's the reason of the jump.

Hope this help.
