VIRTUE Workshop on Propeller RANS Calculations

Hi Foamers,

The Virtual Tank Utility in Europe (VIRTUE) Workshop on Propeller RANS Calculations is being held Oct 17-18th at MARIN in Wageningen. The test case is non-cavitating and cavitating flow around a twisted foil and around the INSEAN E779A propeller.

From the workshop annoucement, I see that someone will be submitting results from OpenFOAM. Does anyone know who is doing this work?

Since it is an open geometry with available validation data, I think that the turbomachinery Working Group would be interested in obtaining the input files and solutions to post as a real-world example.

Other codes which will be used includes FINFLO, FRESCO, Fluent (BEC), Fluent (SSPA), INSEAN Hybrid Scheme, ISI (ECN), EOLE (Principia).

Dear Sir,

Could you please advice how can I get the Geometry file of E779a Propeller, I've tried to model it via PROP CAD as B-Series one but I found it different than always posted.

I want to simulate the flow around INSEAN e779A marine propeller. I have all the geometric characteristics but I need just the skew of each radial section to draw the propeller. Please , could you send me informations about e779a skew.
