Hi,

I am new to OpenFoam and my intention is to use it to solve fluid-structure interaction problems. I was wondering that if I have a moving boundary, does OpenFoam take into account the added mass of the boundary (i.e. the fluid that the boundary has to displace)? I assume that it does, but I have to be certain before running the simulations.

Hi, I think if you use the correct FSI model, it will auto consider that. However, I donot think that in current Openfoam, there is any fsi model. So I am wondering if you are going to use extended foam or something else.
