pipe inside a closed domain

1 Attachment(s)
Hello OpenFOAM community,

I want to model the following case and I need some opinions from you regarding the necessary steps for running this case. Please see also attached figure!

A brief description of the problem is a pipe inside a closed domain. Hot air enters from the inlet of the pipe and leaves from the outlet of the pipe. This outlet is an internal face of the domain. How can I treat this problem if I don't care (for the moment) about the heat losses from the pipe walls.

1. How to deal with the outlet and the pipe walls which are internal surfaces of my domain?
2.What other dictionaries are necessary (createPatchDict?)
3. How to include pipe walls and outlet in SHMDict?

Can you please give me some hints/key points concerning my case.
Or better if there is any tutorial (e.x circular region inside another region) that has a generic similarity with my case so I can study it?

Thanks. Chris

Ok I got it!. For those interested to know a workaround is to make the internal outlet as "shadow".

Best regards, Chris
