Hi,

I am trying to simulate the performance of a freezer. The set point of the freezer is -30C. There are some products which will be delivered into the freezer at about 20C. There are a few heat flux boundaries also in the mix. the highest velocities seen will be around 7-8m/s.

Which would be a better solver for this setup:
1) buoyantSimpleFoam (Perfect Gas)
2) buoyantSimpleFoam (incompressible Perfect Gas) or
2) buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam?

Hi,

I would go for option 1 in this case. You will have temperature differences of 50 K, around 268 K, which means that your differences are approximately 20 % of the mean temperature. This seems to be a bit too much for the linearized Boussinesq type equation of state.
