simulaton of pre-spary or initial spray with sprayFoam

Hello CFDmans,
As you know, spray of the swirl injector has been divided into two parts, 1-pre-spray or initial spray(transient behavior) and 2- main spray
(steady-state behavior).
The pre-spray is formed due to the inside structure of the swirl injector. It is believed that the initial spray slug is formed during the initial stage of the injection when the angular momentum of liquid within the injector passages has not yet been fully built up.(from Experimental and numerical study of high-pressure-swirl injector sprays in a direct injection gasoline engine, J Gao et al. ,2005)

My question is how we can simulate this (pre-spay) using sprayfoam .I have attached some figures of pre-spay.
Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

Saeed

A very rough solution would be to use two sprays, but you would need to calculate the relative amounts of each spray. Is there any literature on modelling these types of spray. Otherwise you would have to resolve the internal spray geometry.

yes, there is. for example in these three attached files pre-spray and main spray simulated, but i don't know how...
