Inlet in Middle of the Domain

1 Attachment(s)
Hello Everyone,

I was wondering If it is possible to have an inlet from middle of the domain using some code or something, or someother method of creating a patch after making the mesh using some OpenFOAM magic that some of you always surprise me with.

What I have is essentially a simple large domain with an airfoil in the centre a C-mesh, but instead of having one entire side as inlet, I want just one meter line within the domain as my inflow area, I have attached a sketch

Thanks a lot for your time and effort.

If I understand you right, you can do it with a topoSet utility. You need to define a box with your inlet, then topoSet convert it to the set. Then you need to use createPatch tool, which creates the patch for you.
