Insert Point Vortex into OF unsteady Simulation

Hi all!

I have an unsteady simulation (pisoFoam with Smagorinsky LES Model), that I have run with satisfaction. I know want to introduce a vorticity distribution into my flow and collect some measurements. To start with I want to introduce a Oseen Vortex,

as a model of a simple "point vortex" at a particular location in my already solved flow. In essence at my next time step it would just 'appear' in the flow at the prescribed position and then I would continue solving. How do I do this?

If you ever get this running, let me know. I am looking to create a Lamb vortex to model interaction with an airfoil.

Hi

I have made several attempts on this. Have you had any success? Is there any reason to use a lamb vortex model rather than a simple v = gamma/(2*pi*r) model?
