Outlet with flowRateInletVelocity: reverse flow

1 Attachment(s)
Dear all,

I am relatively new to OpenFoam, but do have previous experience with Fluent. I am trying to simulate a building with the following features:
- ventilation air supplied via 8 inlets inside the building and the same air volume extracted via 2 ventilation outlets
- external door is open to the atmosphere, respresented by a box
- just inside from the external door, an inlet and outlet represent an air curtain

My modell runs stable, the only major problem is that my outlets are supplying air instead of extracting.

I have included a drawing to clarify, the red arrow indicates where it goes wrong.

I have applied the following pressure and velocity boundary conditions:
- Atmosphere = Totalpressure + pressureinletoutletvelocity
- inlet for air curtain = fixedfluxpressure + positive flowrateinletvelocity
- inlet for ventilation = fixedfluxpressure + fixed value
- outlet for air curtain = fixedfluxpressure + negative flowrateinletvelocity
- outlet for ventilation = fixedfluxpressure + negative flowrateinletvelocity

The buildings mass balance according to the boundary conditions is correct, but in the simulation obviously not, with massive air flows via the door to the atmosphere.

I would appreciate any tips as to what I am doing wrong!

Kind regards,

Sarah
