Hi there
I am new to OpenFOAM. I am trying to simulate the opening and closing of guide vanes of a Hydraulic turbine. I made the initial mesh for a patch in Salome v7.6.0. After importing the mesh in OpenFOAM, i rotated and stitched the mesh in an annular manner.
Now I wish to rotate each guide vane by a given angle but while using the wingmotion tutorial, I can only specify one center of rotation whereas I want to specify the angle for all the guide vane patches and all the vanes should rotate about their respective centers. In short, I want to know how I should specify local rotation axis for each guide vane patch.
I have the diameter for the circle that passes through the centers of all the vanes. I am attaching a pic of the mesh I made in Salome, to give a better perspective of the problem.
Also if someone can throw some light on the use of multi motion and also if there is a method to link the motion of one vane with another, it would help me in my project.
In addition, I cannot use periodic BC's as when the vanes close they will intersect with the periodic boundary and the solution will fail.
Thanks in advance.
