Simulating Boundary Layer Disc Turbine

Hello everyone, a few years ago i developed an Idea for an OCR Cycle. The Idea utilizes a Tesla Turbine, but i was never able to find calculations for gap size, nozzle geometry, disc diameter and so on. I allready built several turbines but i was never satisfied with the performance. Recently i came up with the idea to just simulate the concepts, so i set up openFoam and tried to get a case working, which also was not as easy as expected. ATM my case stops with FPU exception or max Iterations reached error. I am up with a few questions now: 1. I am using the rhoPimpleFoam solver, is that right or should i use something else? 2. Has anyone a working case for tesla turbines? Later question would be how to replace the ideal gas with r134a? Does openFoam support HFCs? Is it possible to output the torque at the shaft?
