BC for Actuator Disk - Flow Vel from High Pressure to Low Pressure
Hello FOAMers
Here is a link of the Project before I discuss what is going on: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz...TV4WXdpR3BJOEE My aim is to simulate a Wind Turbine in large channel via an actuator disk. The goal is to have a high pressure region before the disk and a low pressure after the disk indicating power has been removed from the flow. The flow velocity across the disk should flow from the high pressure region before the disk to the low pressure region after the disk. Looking at the fan BC results, it seems that the velocity goes from low pressure to high pressure. I looked at other BCs like fanPressure and fixedJump, and all these three BCs have flow velocity from low pressure to high pressure. My question is, is there a BC that exists to do what I want (i.e flow velocity from high pressure to low pressure)? I'm using OpenFoam 3.0.1 with Foam-Extend 3.2 currently compiling on another system. Best Regards vinguva |
I also would like to ask another question with a problem I'm having with fanPressure, its throwing velocity out from both patches when it should be going in one and coming out the other.
Here is the case: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzs...ew?usp=sharing Best Regards vinguva |
Hello FOAMers,
The fan BC seems to work on OpenFOAM 2.2.x by simply setting: jumptable polynomial 2((0 0)(-1 10)) This however doesn't work on OpenFOAM 3.0.1 for whatever reason. Maybe someone who cares about the code should look into this. Best Regards vinguva |
