Good morning all,
i am a mathematics research scholar , i need some results in rayleigh benard convection for a square cavity or 3d cavity just for comparison. the fluid consideration is air or water.
for air i tried the following transport properties
// Laminar kinematic viscosity
nu nu [0 2 -1 0 0 0 0] 1.000000e-03;

// Thermal expansion coefficient
beta beta [0 0 0 -1 0 0 0] 1.019368e-03;

// Reference temperature
TRef TRef [0 0 0 1 0 0 0] 290;

// Laminar Prandtl number
Pr Pr [0 0 0 0 0 0 0] 0.7; //1.0000e+01;

// Turbulent Prandtl number
Prt Prt [0 0 0 0 0 0 0] 0.9;
delta T=1
but i could not get steady state.
Can anyone help me to get steady state ?

Hi, your case is done? And I wonder which solver in OpenFoam is used for this convection simulation?

I am doing simulation for Natural convection using buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam and i got some results, please tell me how to plot Residual plots, pyFoamPlotRunner.py is not working ? can we use paraview to see Residual plots ? to find Nusselt number please tell me how to find derivative with respect to x and y in paraview ?

Would you mind to show your results if it does not bother you? And you want to show Residual or Nusselt plots?
