2 inlets with a different gas in each = a multiphase flow solver ?

I was wondering if I had to use a multiphase flow solver like multiphaseEulerFoam in order to handle two different inlets with two gases although two gases are just making one single physical phase ? To be more precise : In fact I have two inlets on something which looks like a pipe. One gas for each inlet. The two gases have their own properties (pressure, temperature...). I would like to simulate a compressible and turbulent flow (with a RASmodel) but I don't know which solver is able to handle that. A "simple" compressible flow solver (like rhoPimpleFoam) or a multiphase flow solver (like multiphaseEulerFoam) ? |
No idea ? Because I really don't know which OpenFOAM example to follow in order to start my case... It seems that there isn't any case like that...

Apparently I was completely on the wrong way.
I've found hints there: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...g-gas-gas.html reactingFoam should do the job for mixing gases even if there is no reaction. Have a nice project, Adrien |
