Fix the fairing in the motorbike tutorial

Hi guys i posted a couple of days ago a thrad about the motorbike tutorial and how i could i pass the geometry to a CAD and fix the hole that exist in the fairing,i will post a photo of the fairing in Meshlab!I dont know how i could do that,i need some help quickly because i will run a full gradient-base method of optimization in the fairing and i need the geometry to be symmetric so pressure results, drag and the mesh movement after optimization to be good and realistic

Not Clear

Hi,

The image is not clear. Since this is a fairing, you need to split the geometry along the symmetric axis. Then model a domain that is quite representative of the real physics happening with the fairing (depends on what is your intent of modelling - whether head wind, tail wind, cross wind). Based on that, develop a domain that is at least 5 times the major dimension of the fairing. Mesh the negative domain and apply Symmetry Boundary Condition on the Symmetric face that you would develop during meshing. How to define will be driven by the software that you are using for solving.

Hope this helps.

hi my friend,in case you didnt understang i need to make this hole a solid unit so i can run my surface optimization code, because this hole influence my pressure, drag and mesh movement(from optimization) so i need to make it solid....i will upload 3 more photos so you can see it better
