Hi to everyone, I write you to ask if an unsteady simulation is feasible in OF, or if there can be some problems.
In order to simulate the design of a tiltrotor a mesh of about 150 Million cells is required for a URANS-based approach (k-w SST Menter), with time steps of the order of 10-5s (10 to 15 substeps per time step, implicit approach), for a total simulated physical time close to 0.05s.
The flow conditions are M=0.23, Reynolds number per meter : 2.7 Moi.
Is OF capable to manage unsteady simulations with this high frequency? In this case, which could be the mode approprite solver to use?
Thanks,
WhiteW
