Hello FOAMERS,

I am trying to learn OpenFOAM and in my part of the country, I really don't know much people who uses OF for computation. I have like limited resources and My only reliable source is CFD Online and the fellow members in here.

I feel I have got just the peripheral idea of OF and I am using versions like OF 2.2.2 and OF 2.4.0. I am confused like how can i built up a better idea relating to OF. Can you all suggest me the ways you adopted to improve your understanding abt FOAM? I need to know stuffs like

1. how to access the fields specified in your boundary conditions and like how to obtain the values of fields like T or U from the cells in the wall boundary and sort of stuffs. Is there any reliable source like some articles/ reports or coding exercises through which i can learn more about those things.

2. how to write a piece of code like, i want to calculate Temperature (suppose) at all the cell centers in a domain? Any material is available?

3. If I applied a fixedGradient sort of condition (uniform heat flux) in my 0/T file using the relation Q/A = -k*dt/dx as an example for a problem and if i want to find out whether the boundary got assigned with the value I suggested in all the boundary cells, how can i know that?

Actually i dont know, in general what to search for. what are the keywords. I thought it would be easy to ask you all as you have been working with OF so long. Any suggestions are warmly accepted.
All i want is to understand what i do with the solver very well rather than just to get a result out of OF. I hope you all could help me build my resources.
