How to use rigidBodyMeshMotion in OF4.x on three rigid bodies connected by joints?

Hi all,

I have been trying to model three rigid bodies connected by joints in OF4.x with the help of the new rigidBodyMeshMotion solver but do not know how I should set up the case, especially the constant/dynamicMeshDict. My problem is rather simple: three bodies are connected by rotational joints as can be seen in the attached threebody.jpg. I apply a tensioned spring on body1 so that when the simulation starts, body1 would move due to the spring tension while other bodies should follow. However, using my current constant/dynamicMeshDict attached with the moveDynamicMesh utility, mesh is largely distorted in a bad way as shown in mesh.jpg. Even the initial body shape cannot be preserved!

I cannot find much information on this new mesh motion solver. Has anyone ever tried it?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Yuan huan,

Did you realize your model which three rigid bodies connected by joints? I am doing the similar jobs, can you share your dynamicMeshDict to help me find a way to set the joints? My email address is yuyangcup@163.com. Appreciate your help very much in advance.
