In recent versions of twoPhaseEulerFoam (3.0 and beyond) the mixtureKEpsilon model is implemented which requires boundary files for km and epsilonm. In the corresponding tutorials (bubbleColumn) one notes strangely that:
zeroGradient BC has been used at walls for km and epsilonm whereas the respective wall functions have been used at walls for k.* and epsilon.*. The tutorial runs, but is it correct to use zeroGradient for turbulence quantities at walls? On the other hand, if I change zeroGradient to the respective wall functions, twoPhaseEulerFoam returns the error: --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: request for turbulenceModel turbulenceProperties from objectRegistry region0 failed available objects of type turbulenceModel are 2 ( turbulenceProperties.air turbulenceProperties.water ) Can anyone please let me know? -Kumar |
