U vs "(U|e)"

Hello everyone~
I really appreciate your kindness if you answer my question!!

I has solved some problem, using rhoCentralFoam.
The scheme is 'forwardstep' and I should have put viscosity (mu) in the problem.

At first, however, I just put the value into 'mu' term(in 'thermoPhysicalProperties').
But it didn't work with an error message "keyword e is undefined in dictionary openfoam"

Then I change the word U into "(U|e)" on fvSolution file. Then it worked!!!
(The 1st one is in figure 1 and the 2nd one is in figure 2)

Thus, this is my question!!
What is the difference between case.1 and case.2 ??

I have searched and googled, but there is no clear answer.

If anyone who know about this, please give me your knowledge.

Sorry for poor english, and Thank you for reading my Q.

Thank you ^^.

Hi Lim,

You need to define how you want your equations to be solved, in the first case you are missing solver for the e equations, but in the second one you are defining to use the same method for U and e.
