I am new to OpenFoam. I ran the simulation but faced an issue.
In the tutorial directory there are two folders 0 and 0.orig. I looked into the 0 folder and all the parameters are specified in nonuniform values. I don't know what's the utility of that folder.
For trial and run I deleted 0 folder and rename 0.orig to 0. When I ran the simulation I didn't get the turbulence. But when I used 0 and 0.orig both then I get the turbulence. I don't know the reason. I believe I need initial nonuniform data to setup the turbulence. Is that correct?
I am setting up another channel flow problem with different wall model. But there also I am facing the same issue. Since I don't have initial non-uniform values I am not getting proper turbulence. I am uploading the picture for the convenience. Any help regarding that would be appreciated. Thanks.
