Doubt porous simulations of

Dear All,

I've a doubt in porous media simulations in OF.

We use topoSet and setFields to define porous media and porosity to a particular zone. Then we use fvOptions to define D-F source terms.

Say I use pimpleFoam. When I multiply now the momentum equation with porosity explicitly, I'm getting values which are way different than literature. But when I use the default solver I am getting nearby results.

If the literature is to be believed, we need to multiply (1/porosity) to the time derivative, convection and diffusion term in momentum equation. But I am getting fair results without multiplying anything of such sort.

Please help me out with this.

Regards.
