Opening an existing case with OF for Windows

Hello,

I am new to OpenFOAM (and CFD in general) and have an INCREDIBLY basic question, making it all the more frustrating that I wasn't able to solve it yet. Please help!

Someone has sent me a case folder in which a simulation has already been run. Now I would like to simply "Open" that case folder in OpenFOAM and play around with it. The case folder is located under C:\Users\me\NewFolder

Can someone please give me some instruction for dummies? All I have managed to do so far is to open the OpenFOAM terminal by opening "C:\Program Files (x86)\ESI\OpenFOAM\1606\Windows\Scripts\start_OF.b at"

There are a bunch of tutorials showing apparently how to do this, but they generally seem to be for Linux and don't apply here (?).

I read somewhere that I first need to type "run", but then I get this message:
bash: cd: /home/ofuser/OpenFOAM/ofuser-v1606+/run: No such file or directory

What does "/home/ofuser" mean, where is that even located?

Elsewhere I read that I have to use "cd" to specify the directory I want to working in. But no matter what I type (e.g. "cd C:/Users/me/NewFolder"), I always get:
"No such file or directory"

I'm obviously missing something super obvious here but please be patient with me. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Cheers,
Max

Found it! I simply had to go "cd /home/ofuser/workingDir/NewFolder"
