Axisymmetric actuator disk simpleFoam!

Hello Foamers,

Hope all are well! I am trying to simulate the flow over a HAWT using Actuator disk model. I have found a document and code written by Eric Sevning. The code is for constant load, means that I need to specify thrust and torque. The code originally was written for OpenFoam 1.6. I have successfully added few lines to make it works for version 2.3.2. I also did some validations to make sure that everything works as expected. Now, I am trying to rewrite the code to simulate the rotor as axisymmetric (less simulation time) but don't know where to start and what to change. In that code, the added a volume source term to the momentum equation and then Glodestin extraplotion was used to calculate the forces on the rotor. I was wondering if someone has a good programming experience help in this problem. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
