killer2234 is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I am using alternateSteadyReactingFoam solver to simulate with a very simple case :『supersonic flow over a 15-deg compression ramp』,which will induced a oblique shock at the corner.

I have tried really hard these days with this solvers but still face several problems with this solver. I desperately hope that anyone could give me some advice regarding to the following questions I have :

1.When I setting up the inlet with supersonicFreeStream condition, the simulation will broke up within 10 step. In contrast, when I set the inlet velocity to 20m/s and other conditions remain unchanged, the simulation works quite well.

Is this solver capable of simulating the supersonic flow?

2. Is there any alternateSteadyReactingFoam-tutorial which may give me a help to learn the settings?

Thanks for spending your time reading through this thread and your kind reply.

Wilson
