Momentum Source Term

Hello dear Foamers.

I'm an intermediate OF user and I would like to know how to implement BAY Vortex Generator model into OpenFOAM.

It is a source term added into N-S equations and is dependant of the velocity of each cell where it is applied. I have already implemented it on Star-CCM+, but OF looks a little bit harder.

Looking into other threads, I think the best option would be using fvOptions, but that is new stuff for me.

Could somebody give me some hint/tip/any kind of help to start with it? Thank you!

Or a software that supports this easy that anyone can tell you. For example in FVUS it would be 5 minutes task.

Oh thanks a lot, but having studied with one, working with other one and doing personal research with another is more than enough

The point was it was not much to do with brilliance of mind but software frame work. You see even starccm+ you can define user momentum source. It is matter of 3 or 4 clicks. It is easy to do and anyone can tell you.

In openfoam, the framework is not as easy to allow this, so not many people came forward to help. (Even I am no help here).
