Hi All,
I'm running some long cases which I need the transient data. I want to skip some of the files I don't need to bring down the capacity of my case as it's getting to terabytes quiet fast. I don't need phi and phi_0 to be written as they can be calculated whenever I want to restart the run. Also for the field averages (UMean, UPrime2Mean, pMean, pPrime2Mean), I don't need them on every output, but the output control only accepts timeSteps or outputTime. Since I'm using adjustable time steps, using timeSteps will make directories which only contain averages on random times (time steps are not always the same), and outputTime is too often, I don't want to check my averages that often. Say if I'm writing the field data at 50Hz, I just need my mean data at 1Hz. I know this is possible by modifying the solver but I don't want to go down that road, just looking for an elegant solution if anyone has every came across the same problem. |
