Dear Foamers,
I have just installed openFoam 1.6 ext on CAELinux 2013 (Ubuntu 12.04) to simulate Internal Combustion Engine with topological changes. Here is simpleEngineStem based on sonicTurbDyMEngineFoam: https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/op...tml#post302104 I just type: bash Allrun.sh in terminal and simulation runs. After ~15000s it ends and then I run paraFoam to preview mesh changes. Unfortunately only '0' timestep load properly. When I change timestep warning appears: Quote:
Solution one: VTK error running paraView I can't load paraFoam due to lack of ./system/controlDict When I put controDict to ./VTK/system/ and run paraFoam new warning appears: Quote:
https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/op...tml#post570854 I believe this solution couldn't work for case with topological changes. I am very interested in simulation of ICE and this simpleEngineStem is the only working case - best for further modifications. I would be grateful if someone could help me find any solution. Have a nice day. sheaker |

I think I was able to preview other timesteps because I created video of engine. Unfortunately I can't remember how was it done and I forget to put the solution in this thread.
You need to figure it out by Yourself. |

Thank you for your reply. Actually I could find my problem. It was regarding compiling my own solver. When I did the compilation in foam user app bin, the error was gone.
