Having dificulties creating an inverse set-up of the planeWall2D tutorial
so i've been working on cht and basically i have to create an inverse of planeWall2D problem or multiregion heater to create 2 walls and have air between them. which is basically reverse of planeWall2d which has two air layers and one wall. i'm trying to emulate a fin

If you don't need to know what happens inside the walls they may be threaten as boundary conditions. You have to specify what should happen at the upper and lower boundary of your air column. Free inflow and outflow? Forced convection? Something else? This has to set with a boundary condition too.

As for setting up the case, if you are using OpenFOAM 2.3 or newer, I'm unfortunately unable to help much in this, because there was a critical change made in OpenFOAM that I still haven't managed to find the time to figure out how it can be properly implemented in the tutorial for the "planeWall2D". My advice is to take the tutorial case "heatTransfer/chtMultiRegionFoam/multiRegionHeater" as a base for your case and remove the parts that you don't need.
